Once a month our students sit with colleagues from different grades 

to share stories they've written in class.

Computer Class

  

 During computer class, Mr. Daniel Holanda brought chromebooks to our classroom. Students sure had a fun and enjoyable time while learning how to use the chromebooks to learn and play.

Academic Reading

After teacher's instruction, students sit in groups to practice academic reading and to discuss the questions that prompt critical thinking.

Dictionary Practice

This week we learned how to look up words in the dictionary and write down their meanings.

Knowing ABC order is essential to master this skill.

Inside-Outside Circle activity

Students rotated to face new partners, sharing about their holiday. 

Adding and subtracting with dominoes kept the students eager to learn new ways of practicing math.

Using the iPads students shared websites such as Mathletics and Interactive Education Games.

The Second graders performed the first Brazilian Indians meeting the Portuguese people and Africans.

Building up a community

Students are studying about Community and have started building up a model one. 

That was a fun time to work with different partners and discuss citizenship.
