Mix and Match

Students were given complete sentences with the spelling words of the week.

They had to walk around and read their pieces to their friends.

Sometimes it did not make any sense. Nope! Move on and try again.

Sometimes it made perfect sense.

This week Juju got a coupon after winning a Science Vocabulary game.

She sat at Mrs. Silva's table for a day!!!

It's time to say goodbye!

We have cherished each other these past days with bittersweet feelings. It's time to say goodbye to second grade and embark on a whole new adventurous journey to 3rd grade. It was a pleasure and a blessing to share a year with each and every one of you. We have learned so much, we have developed, we have grown, now it's time to embrace new challenges and to overcome them with the same determination and effort we did this year. We'll miss you deeply! Stop by 2nd grade to say "hello" next year. We'll see you around, kiddos!

Human Body Scavenger Hunt

Wrapping the Human Body Unit, students had fun going on a scavenger hunt to see who could find the hidden clues around the playground and answer most questions about the Human Body.

Venn Diagram

Studying the Venn Diagram students ask each other about their likes, such as fruits, sports, and pets.  Then, they use this diagram in math class to answer questions with "how many."
